My passion for creating art started at a very young age. If I didn’t have a crayon, marker, or paint brush in hand you could bet that there was one nearby. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, I was always trying to challenge myself—always finding a way to make my artistic abilities more diverse. I attended League Academy in middle school where my love for all things art related really started to take flight. I experimented with photography, printmaking, sculpting, etc. You name it and I’ve probably given it a try! However, it was always painting that made me feel the most at home.

Whereas many may not like change, I embrace it with open arms—especially when it comes to my artistic style. I love playing with quirky and fun patterns, colors, objects/subjects, and light. I truly feel that the most consistency you will see in my work is my choice of bright, vibrant colors. I love to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary! Bright colors for me really coincide a lot with my personality, and how I like to envision the world that we live in—cheerful and animated.

I made the journey down to Charleston, SC in 2008 to attend College of Charleston where I double majored in International Business and Arts Management with a double minor in International Studies and Studio Art. Charleston was (and still is today) a true art haven for me. The people, the places, the history, it all intrigues me and constantly inspires me which is why it was an easy choice to make my forever home. My soon-to-be husband also helped make that an even easier decision for me too. We are so excited to make things official in October 2017 right here in beautiful Charleston! Don’t worry though, my last name will be changing from Boiter to Bunting so “Sally B” is here to stay.

I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to email me at sallybuntingart@gmail.com with any questions you may have or just to say hello! Thanks for stopping by!
